After reading the poem “on killing the tree”, we draw many similarities between great people and tree.

In this poem, the poet describes that to kill a tree or uprooting a tree is not so easy task like killing a soul of great people. These both tasks are difficult one. The poem tries to depict how a tree is to be hurt to kill it, thus, displaying us that although killing a human soul are tough but by revealing the essence of humanity to external fancies can mortally damage it.
