let the weekly income be rs X 10% of the income is given to his mother that is amount given to his mother =R(X/10)

Amount left =x-(x/10)
Given that 25% of the remaining was spent
25% of 9x/10=25/100*9x/10=RS 9x/40

Amount left after spending=9X/10 -9x/40
=(36x-9x)/40. =27x/40

Given that amount left=Rs 540
Hence 27X/40=540
X=540*40/27
X=800

thus the weekly income is rs 800...
