The leadership of Sikhs after death of Guru Gobind Singh was passed onto his trusted disciple Banda Singh.

He wanted to overrule the Mughal Raj and wanted the Sikhs in power in 1800's.

He fought against them for 8 years but his army was small and consisted of only sikh peasants and could not defeat the Mughals.

He was captured by the mughals and then killed in 181.
