After travelling a distance of 164/5 km, amera found that she is still to cover 5/7 of the whole distance. What is the total distance covered by amera?

Let Amera has to cover x km distance
Then,
        she still has to cover 5x/7 distance
so,
       she covered (x- 5x/7)=2x/7 distance
so,
=>           2x/7= 164/5
=>           x= 114.8 kms

so, the total distance is 114.8 kms

Let total distance covered by Amera is x km
She travelled 164/5 km , Now Amera found that ,
She is still to cover 5/7 of whole distance .
∴ she covered the distance = whole distance - still to cover
= x - 5x/7 = 2x/7 km

∴ 2x /7 = 164/5
⇒ 2x = 164 × 7/5
⇒ x = 82 × 7/5 = 574/5 km

Hence, whole distance = 114.8 km
