Ag2S is the Argentite Ore. It is crushed first, then concentrated and at last dissolved in KCN to extract out Silver (Ag). The process is called Cyanide Process. KCN reacts with the ore to produce the complex potassium dicyanoarngentite 2K[Ag(CN)₂].
This then reacts with zinc dust to precipitate out silver.
