let Anjali's sons age = x years

Anjali's sons age after 12 years = x + 12 years

Anjali's age after 12 years = 5x + 12 years

it is given that after 12 years Anjali's age will be twice of that of her son's age (after 12 years)

we can form an equation as,

(5x + 12) = 2(x + 12)

=> 5x + 12 = 2x + 24

=> 5x - 2x = 24 - 12

=> 3x = 12

=> x = 4

therefore Anjali's present age = 5x => 5×4 => 20 years
