Age of five girls in a group are 16 years 4 month, 15 years 8 month, 14 years 9 month, 15 years 3 month and 14 years 9 month , 15 years 3 month and 14 years 8 month.

Age of 1st girl = 16 years 4 months

We know that 12 months together make one year.

So,

= \sf{16\:+\:\frac{4}{12}}

= \sf{\frac{192\:+\:4}{12}}

= \sf{\frac{196}{12}} ....(1)

Age of 2nd girl = 15 years 8 months

= \sf{15\:+\:\frac{8}{12}}

= \sf{\frac{180\:+\:8}{12}}

= \sf{\frac{188}{12}} ....(2)

Age of 3rd girl = 14 years 9 months

= \sf{14\:+\:\frac{9}{12}}

= \sf{\frac{168\:+\:9}{12}}

= \sf{\frac{177}{12}} ....(3)

Age of 4th girl = 15 years 3 months

= \sf{15\:+\:\frac{3}{12}}

= \sf{\frac{180\:+\:3}{12}}

= \sf{\frac{183}{12}} ....(4)

Age of 5th girl = 14 years 8 months

= \sf{14\:+\:\frac{8}{12}}

= \sf{\frac{168\:+\:8}{12}}

= \sf{\frac{176}{12}} ....(5)

We have to find the average age of per girl in the group.

\rm{Average \: age \: of \: 5 \: girls \:  =  \:  \frac{Sum \: of \: all \: girls}{Number \: of \: girls}}

= \rm \dfrac{ \frac{196}{12} +  \frac{188}{12}   +  \frac{177}{12}  +  \frac{183}{12} +  \frac{176}{12}}{5}

= \rm{\dfrac{920}{60}}

= \rm{\dfrac{46}{3}}
