Agents which spread pathogens from one place to another are called as carrier. Many of the diseases occur due to pathogens. Here pathogens can be defined as the organisms that are found in the human body and which can carry diseases.

For example mosquitoes are the carrier for the Protozoa here protozoa is pathogen and mosquitoes are carrier.

Other examples of pathogens are bacteria, virus, fungus, protozoa, etc. Some of the common diseases caused by pathogens are common flu, measles etc.
