let their ages be7x,4x

after 5 years,(7x+5)/(4x+5)=11/7

on cross multiplication,

7 (7x+5)=11 (4x+5)

49x+35=44x+55

hence...5x=20 and x=4

and by putting value of x....we get ..

7x=7×4=28

4x=4×4=16
