Let the ages of the two people be 11x and 8x.
So,
a=11x, b=8x
According to Question:
11x=8x+9
=> 11x-8x=9
=> 3x=9
=> x=3
Putting value of x=3
11×3=33 Years, 8×3=24years
So ages after 3 years
33+3=36 Years
24+3= 27 Years
Therefore, the ages of a and b after 3years is 36 and 27 years respectively.
So,
a=11x, b=8x
