The length of one side of the square is 7 centimeters.

Step-by-step explanation:

Ahmad used long piece of wire to make a square and a rectangle.

The length and breadth of rectangle are given  = 10 cm × 6 cm

Perimeter of the rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

                                            = 2(10 + 6)

                                            = 2(16)

                                            = 32 cm

He used 32 cm to make a rectangle.

Remaining wire = 60 - 32 = 28 cm

Perimeter of square = 4 × side

Let the side of the square = s

P = 4 × s

28 = 4s

s = \frac{28}{4}

s = 7 cm

The length of one side of the square is 7 centimeters.
