A man walks to an restaurant and orders a pelican sandwich. After taking one bite , he ran out of restaurant then later shot himself .

The man was on a ship that was wrecked on a desert island. When there was no food left, another person brought what he said was pelican but really it was part of the man's wife (who had died in the wreck). The man suspects something fishy, so when they finally return to civilization, he orders a pelican sandwich , realizes that what he ate before was his wife, and kills himself.
