Answer:

a) modal class- 35 - 45

b) class mark is 50

c) median class is 35 - 45

d) width of the class is 10

e) sum is 80

Step-by-step explanation:

a) the class interval having highest frequency is the modal class , so in the given data , 23 is the highest frequency so the modal class is 35-45

b) class mark = upper class limit + lower class limit ÷2

so for the given data , class mark is

45+55÷2

= 100 ÷2

=50

so the class mark is 50

c) for finding the median class , we need to note down the cumulative frequency

for the given data , cumulative frequency -

6

17

38

61

75

80

now find the sum of all the frequencies , it is 80

divide it by 2 , it 40 .

now find a cumulative frequency which is just greater than 40 , it is 61 .

the class interval with the cumulative frequency 61 is the median class.

so the median class is 35 - 45

d) for the width of the class , find the difference between the lower limit nd upper limit

it is -

25-15 or take any interval

ans is 10

e) MODAL CLASS - 35 - 45

MEDIAN CLASS - 35 - 45

upper limit of modal class is 45

lower limit of median class is 35

according to question , sum = 45 +35

so , the ans is 80
