Answer : 600 cm²

Explanation :

perimeter of a rhombus is 100 cm (given)

one of the diagonals is 40 cm (given)

We need to find the area of rhombus.

all sides of a rhombus are equal.

side of rhombus = 100/4 =25cm

the diagonal of rhombus bisect each other.

Let the other diagonal be 2x

(x)²+ (20)² = 25²⇒x² = 625−400

x² = 225²

x = 15cm

Other diagonal = 2x

= 2×15

= 30cm

Then, area of rhombus = Diagonal × Diagonal

= 15×30

= 600cm²
