A radical is an atom, ion, or molecule that has unpaired electrons.A compound is a combination of two or more elements. Based off these definitions, we know that radicals and compounds biggest difference is thier size.

Eg. PbO is a compound consisting of Lead and Oxygen atoms.

While Pb(NO3)2  is a radical consisting of lead and NO radicals
