Question

Ajayan is ten year older than vijayan . Next year, Ajayan's age would be double that of vijayan . what are their ages now?

Answer 1

let v's age be x
therefore,
a's age = x+10
next year,
v's age= x+1
a's age= x+11
but,
2(x+1)= x+11
=> 2x+2=x+11
=>x=9
therefore,
v's age is 9 now
and a's age is 19 now


Note: A=Ajayan
V=Vijayan( I know it's obvious but still for formality.......)
