Let Father's age be 'y'

1/3y+y=40

4/3y=40

3×4/3x=40×3(To remove denominator)

4y=120

y=120/4

= 30

Therefore Father's age is 30 yrs

Akbar's age is 1/3×30= 10 yrs

bangtangranger: BTW this is a math question, not a history one.
