Raja Birbal who was also known as Mahesh Das was a popular advisor in the Mughal Emperor Akbar court with his stories of legendary being told to every child as a folk tale. the book begins with the way Akbar and Bibal met whereby the emperor was initially lost in the forest and arrived at a three raods intersection . He did not know which road he would follow to lead him back to the city and in the midst of his dilemma he saw a young man coming from one of the roads . The reply of the young man led him to the emperor where he was offered with a place to live in his court. Various authors have a different way of narrating this story depending on their understanding. I would say that this tale is a gem that i keep revisiting as part of my childhood memories.
