Akhil covered a distance of 15 km in 60 minutes he covered first of the journey by walking at 4.5 kilometre per hour and the rest of the journey by a car at 30 kilometre per hour find the distance covered by car ​

Therefore distance covered by walking = 15-x ( Bcoz total distance is 15 km)

Speed = distance / time

So time = distance / speed

Time taken by Akhil to cover distance 15-x by walking at the speed of 4.5 kmph

Tw = (15-x)/4.5

Similarly

Time taken by Akhil to cover distance x by car at speed 30kmph

Tc = x/30

According to question total time taken by him is 60 min .i.e 1 hour

Therefore Tw + Tc = 1

(15-x)/4.5 + x/30 = 1

On solving x = 210/17 = 12.3 km
