Let the fixed amount be "x"

According to the question,

Investment in share market= 3/8 of x

Investment in real estate= 1/7 of x

Now,

Part of money used in buying the car

= Fixed amount - (investment in share market + investment in real estate)

= x - (3/8 of x + 1/7 of x)

= x - (3x/8 + x/7)

= x - [(3x × 7) + (x × 8) / 56] {LCM of 8 and 7 is 56}

= x - (21x + 8x / 56)

= x - (29x/56) = x/1 - 29x/56

= (x × 56) - 29x / 56 {LCM of 1 and 56 is 56}

= 56x - 29x / 56 = 27x/56

= 27/56 of x

= 27/56 part of the fixed amount

Therefore, Akshita used 27/56 part of the money in buying the car.

Let fixed be x .

3/8 of x = in share market = 3x/8

1/7 of x = in real estate = x/7

remaining = x - x/7 - 3x/8

=> (56x-8x-21x)/56

=> (56-29)x/56

=> 27/56

part of money used = 27/56. Ans.
