Alauddin Khilji sent Malik Kafur to conquer deccan. At that time there were four important kingdoms ruling the Deccan- Yadavas of Devagiri, Kakatiyas of Warangal, Hoysalas of Dwarasamudra and Pandyas of Madurai.
