People use 15%-60% alcohol to preserve oil in water lotions.ALCOHOL is incredibly astringent,so adding it to a moisturizing lotion would leave us less moisturized than we accept.Alcohol is also known irritant-so it should not be used
as a lotion for moisturizing  for sensitive skin as it stings.
