You maybe asking about why don't alkanes undergo ozonolysis,

First of all I would like to tell you that ozonolysis reaction is given by compounds containing multiple bonds only like alkanes or alkynes

Because multiple bonds are made up of weak pi electrons

You already know pi bonds are weaker than sigma bonds

Pi bonds in alkenes and alkynes act as nucleophile in ozonolysis reaction in which an atom of oxygen in ozone molecule carrying a positive charge acts as electrophile

Sigma bonds are not so weak to act as a nucleophile

However when reaction starts, it proceeds through a mechanism in alkene and alkynes that also involves breaking of sigma bond

But reaction is started by pi bonds

This is not possible in alkanes
