Alkyl halide reacts with lithium aluminum hydride to give alkane. Name the attacking reagent which will bring out this change

the attacking reagent is a nucleophile i.e. H- ( hydride ion ) which is generated from lithium aluminium hydride. This nucleophile will substitute the halogen in the alkyl halide . and hence the reaction is known as nucleophilic substitution reaction.
