Aryl halides are less reactive towards nucleophilic substitution reaction due to several reasons. whereas alkyl halides undergo nucleophilic substitution easily. Whereas in Alkyl halides relatively large difference in electronegativity of carbon and halogen is recorded. Thus halogen is easily replaced by nucleophile.
