Transportation in cells is the movement of ions in and out of a cell. The transportation of ions in cells which do not require any energy is termed to be passive transportation. One such example for passive transportation is diffusion. In diffusion ions travel from higher concentrated area to lower concentrated area. This dont require any energy. Diffusion is one of the best examples of passive transportation.
