In fact, our bodies develop an internal pressure that balances atmosoheric pressure, this prevents us from getting crushed.

The internal pressure is provided by fluids present within our body cells. At the place where one normally lives this pressure exerted from the inside of body cells, equsls the atmospheric pressure there.
