when their ships struck into he water....the sun was very hot.there was excessive heat of sun at noon . the sun was shining with all of his power n glory......
the word BLO ODY shows how unwelcome the sun was....it was very hot but the size was not more than the moon

These lines show the intensity of heat of the day. It was so hot that the sky had the color of copper. The sun being just overhead looked no bigger than the moon.
So we mean the sun was small in size comparatively?
it looked just like the moon....to understand this better look at the sun at noon.....we see its just like the moon

The atmosphere was extremely hot. The sun was as red and hot as copper. It looked like a disc, no bigger than the moon yet is showered excessive heat and fires.
