There are many contra ceptive methods as follows :-

1) Intrauterine devices:-

The devices which are used to prevent pregnancy

devices made of plastic, metal or a combination of the two which is inserted into the uterus to prevent conception (pregnancy).

For exa, CuT380A, progestasert, Lippes loop etc.

2) Oral contraceptives:-

they are preparations containing either progestin(= progesterone) alone or combination of progesterone and oestrogen.e.g, Mala-D, Saheli etc.

3) surgical methods aur sterilisation procedure:-

these methods are operative procedures which block the passage of semen in males and over in females.

They are called vasectomy in males and tubectomy in females.

Vesectomy:- it is a surgical method of sterilization of males in which two vasa diferentia are interrupted by giving cuts.

Tubectomy:- it is a surgical sterilization technique for the females in which two oviducts are interrupted

by giving ligation or cuts.
