With agno3 allyl chloride will form white ppt whereas there will be no reaction with vinyl chloride becoz it is stabalised by resonance

Hey dear,
● Answer -
- Allyl cloride reacts with alcohilic silver nitrate to give allyl nitrate and white precipitate of AgCl.
CH2=CH-CH2-Cl + alc.AgNO3 --> CH2=CH-CH-NO2 + AgCl
- In vinyl chloride (CH2=CH-Cl), it stabilize because of partial double bond by resonance.
- Therefore, vinyl chloride can't be distinguished with alc. silver nitrate.
Hope this cleared your doubts.
