sometimes they can have accents like á, à, â, etc
the accents can only be on vowels (a, e, i, o, u)
helpful tip for learning french pronunciations: there’s this rule called the CaReFuL rule, notice the capital letters, i.e., CRFL, you only pronounce C,R,F or L at the end of a word. so for example a word ends with a T, like ‘croissant’, you don’t pronounce the T. but when a word ends with L, for example, ‘hôtel’, you have to pronounce it
