Because he was very overconfident and of the opinion that cowards die many times but a real person die once. So he considered himself as a real one ..and also he didn't have any fear about his death because he knew that DEATH has to come in everyone's lyf

Caesar went to the senate house after hearing Calpurnia's dream because he got influenced by the flatterings of Brutus and also by Brutus's wrong description of the meaning of Calpurnia's dream which was that the blood flowing from the capitol meant that Romans will bath in Caesar's holy blood and the dream indicated something positive. Also, he was not ready to send a lie about his absence at today's meeting.
