Although the grandmother in the lesson “How I Taught my Grandmother to Read.” was well off financially she was not happy. What was the reason of her happiness? Do you sympathize with her? Why/Why not?

When she learned how to read, write and recite then she became happy because now she is independent and can read KASHI YATRE. Yes I sympathize with her because the only thing she do not have is that she can't read and she learned she get happy.

The reason of her happiness was "to be able to read and write".
As a child she never went to school but had a very keen and burning desire to learn how to read and write.
Yes i totally sympathize with her as knowing how to read and write and being literate i.e. able to write and read text gives us self confidence and makes up able to stand up in the society.
