In democracy the majority of people rule through their elected representatives

1. Democracy is rule of the people, by the people and for the people.

2. Every adult citizen has the right to vote and choose a representative due to Universal Adult Franchise.

As everyone can't be elected in Parliament so a representative is elected from every place to represent that particular area and to put the problem of that place in Parliament, this is how a majority of the people rule through their elected representatives.
