No, Season Varies according to altitude of Sun from Earth Surface .

The Near the Sun, E.G - The Sun always at up( the distance between Sun and Equator is lower than any other surface ) in the Equator . Therefore , The climate always there is humid and rainy ..

Answer.....

This is because of the tilt of the Earth's axis. During the summer the northern hemisphere is tilted towards the sun so it has summer and southern Hemisphere has winter it, and during the winter it tilts the opposite way so the southern Hemisphere has summer and northern hemisphere has winter. This also make's the suns altitude appear to change,as we move towards and away from it.....

Hope it helps.....
