Aluminium easily combines with oxygen but can be still used in kitchen ,why?
ironman9009:
Aluminium is ductile and has high electrical conductivity and this property is not useful in the making of utensils. Aluminium has good thermal conductivity and high melting point. The commonly used metals in making utensils are copper, steel (alloy of iron) and aluminium.

It is used in making of kitchen utensil because when aluminum reacts with oxygen to form aluminum oxide. It forms a layer over surface of the surface of the metal. It will help to reduce the corrosion of aluminum metal....
Hope it helps :)
