Because it is metalloid.

Hope it's help you

sumitraarora26: no
sumitraarora26: correct answer is :- aluminium reacts with 02 to form thin layer of Aluminium oxide. this prevents aluminium from any further reaction
mayankmkvr: You know answer then why you ask this.?
sumitraarora26: i knew from my friend
sumitraarora26: I phoned her and asked if your answer was correct and she said no..
sumitraarora26: and I asked my teacher also

because in case of water any class not hallow for reacting .

H2O= H=1 atomic electron

and O=8 electron

then

2 H =1 electron + 1 electron

and

in case of O=8, mins 2 electron in s class and 6 in p block, class

mins 2 electron space is empty in O.

then 1 H is attach to 1 bond and 2nd attach to 2nd bond

then all block is fill up

so H2O is not react

sumitraarora26: sorry but it's wrong
purnima68: oops sorry
sumitraarora26: it's ok
sumitraarora26: the right answer is :- Aluminium reacts with oxygen to form aluminium oxide. which sticks as a thin layer over aluminium metal. this layer prevents it from reacting with water
sumitraarora26: i got this answer from my friend who is Chem Expert
