aluminium is putted above from iron in reactivity series. But it's reaction with water and oxygen indicates that it is less reactive. This is because of that, aluminium things are not completely made of aluminium. A layer of aluminium oxide is also used on aluminium things. Due to aluminium oxide, oxygen and water could not easily react with aluminium. Also you have seen that pure aluminium material is lustrous but aluminium things are not so lustrous. This is due to reason of aluminium oxide presense.
