This is the question: "Analyze this scenario: you have a thermometer in a dark, cool area inside your house. You take the thermometer outside and place it in direct sunlight. You come back in 20 minutes and take a reading of the thermometer. What would you logically expect to observe?"

My answer: Logically, the temperature on the thermometer would be higher than what it read in the darkness, since it is then in direct sunlight. It would measure the temperature of the outdoors that has been heated by the sun for longer than the thermometer has been outside.
