Am i right in saying that the following are the series of action that take place when we hit a ball: We, by chemical energy produced by our body, move our hands to hit the ball. When our hands move this chemical energy gets converted into kinetic energy. As we hit the ball we do work on the ball and this kinetic energy gets transferred into the ball and the ball moves far away.

your ans

yes you are right when the ball is in our hand then our hand along with the ball has potential energy stored and when we move to through it the energy gets converted to kinetic energy

but that's not the chemical but the potential energy that changes to kinetic energy

maallu9524: Wait potential energy ? Where did potential energy come from? I heard its due to change in height.....
maallu9524: Can pls elaborate on stored energy...... is it the chemical energy produce by cells that get stored???
maallu9524: where
maallu9524: when i read the wikipedia i found something else
