Answer:

For biscuits, Amal paid 50% of the amount

Step-by-step explanation:

Let Amal bought 5 biscuits, 9 cakes and 6 chocolates in Rs. x

Let Rajan bought 6 biscuits, 12 chocolates and 18 cakes in rs. y

Then, according to the question

y = x + x/2

or, y = 3x/2

If the items Amal bought is multiplied by 2 then the Rs paid will also be multiplied by 2

i.e. 10 biscuits, 18 cakes and 12 chocolates will cost 2x Rs.

Subtracting the above from Rajan's items

We get that 4 biscuits cost Rs.

=2x-y

= 2x - 3x/2

=x/2 Rs.

which is 50% of x
