Let the Number of Pages he read on First day be x

∴ As Per Question:

⇒x + (x/2) +[(x/2)/2}+[[(x/2)/2}/2] = 300

⇒x + 1/2x + 1/4x + 1/8x = 300

⇒8/8x +4/8x+2/8x+1/8x = 300

⇒15x/8 = 300

⇒15x = 2400

⇒x = 2400/15

∴ x = 160

15x/4=300
