Let the mans present age be x

then the mans present age is ( x + 3) years

sons age years ago ( x - 10 ) years

mans age before 10 yeas = (x + 10 -3)

=( x + 7)

At that time the mans age is 5 times his sons age

therefore x+7 =3(x- 10) = X + 7 3 X + 6 (opening bracket )

3x - 6 =26 - 6 =2x = 20x =20 ÷ 2 = 10

x = 10

sons age is 10

mans age is 3×10=30

Aman = 3x - 10

According to the question,Before ten years he was five time his son's age

3x - 10 = 5(x - 10)

3x - 10 = 5x - 50

3x - 5x = -50 + 10

x = -40/-2

x = 20

Answer:

His son's age = 20 years
