5:3 is the gaining ratio only, the ratio in which aman and yatin took over uma's share .

Answer:

Aman and Yatin gaining and sacrificing ratio is 5: 7

*both of them are gaining

Explanation:

To find gaining and sacrificing ratio we should,

gaining and sacrificing ratio = new profit sharing ratio - old profit sharing ratio.

here,

for Aman :

5/10 is old profit and 5/8 is new profit

5/8- 5/10 = 25-20/40 = 5/40

for Yatin :

2/10 is old profit and 3/8 is new profit

3/8 - 2/10 = 15-8/40 = 7/40

therefore,

5/40:7/40 = 5:7 is the gaining ratio of Aman and Yatin.

I hope this helps! :)
