here P=800;T=3+1/2=3.5;R=5
so total interest=
 \frac{p \times t \times r}{100}
  = \frac{800 \times 3.5 \times 5}{100}
=8×3.5×5
=28×5
so intrest (I)=₹140.
total amount he will pay=P+I
=800+140
=₹940 .
hope it'll help

Answer:

The amount he will pay after 3+ 1/2 years is Rs. 948.97.

Step-by-step explanation:

Principal=Rs. 800

Rate of interest (r)= 5% = 0.05

Time t = 3+ 1/2 years= 7/2 years.

The formula of amount is

A=P(1+r)^t

where, P is principal amount, r is interest rate, t is time in years.

A=800(1+0.05)^{\frac{7}{2}}

A=800(1.05)^{\frac{7}{2}}

A=948.97

Therefore the amount he will pay after 3+ 1/2 years is Rs. 948.97.
