Ambulacral system is a distinctive feature of the phylum Echinodermata. It is a unique coelomic water vascular system. This system is a hydraulically controlled system composed of a circumoral ring around the oesophagus with connecting radial canals each leading to an ambulacrum. The radial canals in crinoids run along each arm into an ambulcral groove and tube feet. Examples of echinoderms are sea stars, star fish and sea urchins.

Ambulacral system is used for locomotion, food and waste transportation, and respiration by echinoderms.
