For unicellular organisms growth is synonym of reproduction.
When they divide first they grow in size by replicating organelles and DNA. And produce essential proteins and other substances. Then they divide and form two daughter cells of equal size(to each other and to parent too). They grow in no. too by this method.
Hence it is both growth and reproduction.
