Given that amit sales two scooters at rupees 35000.
Total selling price = 35000 + 35000
= 70000.
Cost price of the first scooter at a gain of 25% = 35000 * 100/(100 + 25)
= 35000 * 100/125
= 35000 * 4/5
= 140000/5
= 28000.
Cost price of the 2nd scooter at a loss of 25% = 35000 * 100/75
= 35000 * 4/3
= 140000/3.
= 46666.67
Total cost price = 28000 + 46666.67
= 74666.6.
We know that Loss% = Loss/CP * 100
= CP - SP/CP * 100
= 74666.6 - 70000/74666.6 * 100
= 4666.6 * 100/74666.6
= 466660/74666.6
= ~6.25.
Hope this helps!
