amit walks 16m south from his house and turns east to walk 63 m to reach his friend's house.while returning,he walks dioagonally from his friends house to reach back to his house.what distance did he walk while returning?

In this diagram AB = 16m and BC= 63m
according to question,when he walks diagonally......then by PYTHAGORAS THEOREM

H²=P²+B²
H²= (16m)²+(63m)²
H² = 256m² +3969m²
H² = 4225m²
H = √4225m²
H= 65m

.°. AC= 65m
So he walks 65m diagonally
