because amoeba has has no any type of enzyme which helps in digestion of fats, lipase is the enzyme which is used to release fatty acids.
amoeba has no lipase enzyme, that is why it is not able to digest fats.

Amoeba lacks the enzymes which is required to digest fats.

They rather use the enzymes which are known as amylase and proteinase which are needed for digestion.

Hence Amoeba can only get simple things such as cellulose and simple sugars and proteins.

Fats are known as lipids and Lipase is the specific enzyme which is required for digestion of fat.

It is an enzyme which is used for hydrolizing lipids.
